Senior Independent Director
(Term 2022-2026)

Christina has more than 12 years of experience working with volunteer development and motivation.

Christina was introduced to parkour in 2007 in Copenhagen and was drawn by the spirit of the community. Whilst Christina is no longer an active parkour practitioner, she has taken the parkour ethos with her in other sports she’s passionate about (skiing – cross country and alpine - rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, and yoga) as well as in her professional life. She is using the methodology of parkour in her leadership, such as working with overcoming fear and working with personal development and progress.

Christina is passionate about the union of body and mind. She believes that in setting the body free we can also set our minds free. If we are open to trying new things in our movement practice, we will also open our minds in other aspects of life and this leads to better tolerance and understanding among people.

Elected Director
(Term: 2019-2023)

Chris started parkour after seeing the seminal documentary Jump London and became inspired to see what his body was capable of with the London and wider UK parkour community. He has a degree in Political Science and a background in teaching steel pans before focusing on coaching parkour.

Chris is currently the Elected Director for England with Parkour UK, and has been involved with Parkour UK in coaching and tutoring since it was founded. He is a senior coach with Parkour Generations and has 10 years of experience tutoring the ADAPT certifications around the globe.

Since Tomasz saw parkour in 2005, he realized that parkour had been in him for a long time. Since then, he has been actively practicing parkour with undying passion.

Over the course of several years, he was involved in the development of parkour in the city of Gdańsk but also throughout Poland. In 2011, he co-founded the KS Movement organization, which brings together parkour enthusiasts, and since 2016 it has had its own indoor space. The activities of Tomasz and his team members also influenced the parkour parks industry, thanks to which there are already several dozen of them in Poland.

Since 2008, Tomasz has maintained the tradition of the annual Parkour Festival in Gdańsk, hosting traceurs and freerunners from all over the world. Tomasz is also the founding president of the Polish parkour federation, which supports the activities of parkour organizations throughout Poland. His knowledge and commitment to the development of the Polish parkour community is implemented by running the Parkour Portal account on social media.

Elected Director
(Term: 2023-2027)

Since discovering parkour in 2004, Janne “Jax” Laurila has been part of the local and national community in Finland. Janne has been coaching from 2009 and is one of the founders of and current CEO of the Oulu Parkour Club (est. 2013). Janne has a life long experience in entrepeneurship and has been a member of multiple boards, from associations to listed companies, and is a member of the board of the Finnish Parkour Association (est. 2003).

Janne’s parkour experiences have instilled in him a passion for architecture, such that he is currently studying to be a structural engineer. After graduation, Janne plans to develop outdoor environments that enable more creative movement.

Independent Director
Term 2024-2028)

Carles Vera is the director and co-founder of Motion Academy and president of Valencia Movement.

Carles discovered parkour in 2007 and since then has been training, learning or thinking about it. As a Political Scientist and youth participation facilitator, he is interested in developing the parkour community at all levels.

Special Advisor

Travis 'TJ' Ranson started training Parkour in Adelaide, Australia in 2006. Since 2009 he has helped run, and lead, the Australian Parkour Association. In 2012, he founded a local coaching non-profit association, as well as a movement training venue. In 2021 he relocated to Europe, and now throws his efforts into the Swiss community, and serves on the Swiss Parkour Association Board alongside Parkour Earth duties.

TJ’s passion is the stewardship of the emerging discipline of Parkour;
“It is through Parkour that I developed my deep commitment to building communities and sharing knowledge. In Australia I have worked coaching Parkour (and Parkour coaches) at all levels, and also worked tirelessly to build and lead organisations that value cooperation, integrity, and positive impact.”

In his own training, and coaching, TJ likes to explore the contradictions inherent in the practice. He enjoys this approach, to create surprising training experiences, and learning environments that bring the most out of students.
