Communication lead

Are you passionate about parkour and want to spread the word and work of Parkour Earth? Do you want to play a vital part in protecting the authenticity of parkour? 

Parkour Earth is looking for a strong communications person who will take the lead in the communications strategy and manage content creators. You will be responsible for the creating the communication strategy as well as making it come alive, ensuring there is a content plan and that it will be followed. You will recruit and manage content creators. 

We expect 

• That you know the ins and outs of different platforms. We are present on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X. You will be the expert on this area. 

• That you can commit to the role for at least 2 years  

• That you are structured and good at time management 

• That you have the ability to work remotely but in teams 

• Ability to work independently and reach out if you experience problems  

• Experience with leading volunteers is an asset  

Your area of responsibilities are: 

• Communication and social media strategy including usage of different channels and content planning for each channel 

• Ensuring implementation of content plan and strategy  

• Manage the volunteers who create content and other communication 

• Other communication tools such as style guide and brand guide etc. 

• Recruitment of volunteers to fill the roles of content creators, designers and other

Renumeration: The role is volunteer and unpaid as are all positions at Parkour Earth. 

Time required: Expect approx. 10 hours monthly. You will attend regular meetings with the communication team, the board and the CEO

Why Parkour Earth? 

Parkour Earth is the international governing body for the connected group of disciplines of parkour, freerunning, and Art du Déplacement, referred to collectively as parkour for short. 

Parkour Earth was founded in 2017 when six established national parkour organisations came together, marking the first time such a federation has been created in parkour. We continue to work towards protecting the autonomy and integrity of parkour.  

Parkour Earth is a community-led federation with several community engagement initiatives. We work towards ensuring the integrity and authenticity of parkour and pride ourselves in proactively connecting and empowering the community. We insist on good governance, inclusion, and diversity by promoting open and responsive structures which develop parkour federations, participants, practice, and culture.
