Open Letter issued to Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG)

Parkour Earth, as the International Federation for Parkour/Freerunning/Art du Déplacement has today, Thursday 24th August 2017 has issued an Open Letter to Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG).As the International Federation for Parkour/Freerunning/Art Du Déplacement, Parkour Earth will henceforth be the recognised custodians of the philosophy, integrity and sovereignty of our sport/art/discipline internationally, for and on behalf of the international community and be the sole governing and administering body for our sport/art/discipline internationally to protect the rights, freedoms and promote the interests of Traceurs/Traceuses, Freerunners, practitioners, our members & the international community. Following the establishment of Parkour Earth, as the International Federation for Parkour/Freerunning/Art Du Déplacement we have reiterated the request for an urgent meeting with the Fédération International de Gymnastique (FIG), within the next 28 days (15 Sept 2017) ensuring that the meeting is prefaced with circulation of an agreed agenda and FIG's commitment to take no further steps to implement their purported encroachment. The purpose of the meeting will be to formalise the clarification, understanding, and recognition of the sovereignty of Parkour/Freerunning/Art Du Déplacement.
