What is Parkour Earth?

Parkour Earth is a not-for-profit company that is governed by a constitution created and agreed upon by its membership, comprising national governing bodies from all over the world. It acts as the international governing body for parkour/freerunning/ADD.

How do I get involved as an individual?

What definition of ‘sport’ does Parkour Earth recognise?

Parkour Earth recognises the Council of Europe definition of sport:  

“Sport” means all forms of physical activity which, through casual or organised participation, aim at expressing or improving physical fitness and mental well-being, forming social relationships or obtaining results in competition at all levels

Who makes up Parkour Earth?

Parkour Earth is made up of its member organisations. These members elect a board that decides on the direction of the organisation. The board appoints an executive team to run the organisation.The board and executive members are listed in ‘The Team’ section. We are also represented by a team of ambassadors from all over the world, who are highlighted in the ‘Ambassadors’ section.

What’s the difference between parkour, freerunning, and ADD?

The connected group of disciplines that emerged from the communities in the suburbs of Paris in the 1980s/1990s have a variety of names—including parkour, freerunning, and art du déplacement (ADD)—and the discourse surrounding each activity remains an active discussion within the global community. Parkour Earth aims to represent anyone that sees themselves as part of this family of disciplines and uses ‘parkour’ to refer to all of these practices.

When was PKE established?

Parkour Earth was formed in 2017 when six national parkour organisations came together.
