We are excited to announce the appointment of Adrienne Toumayan (USA) and John ‘Hedge’ Hall (Scotland) to the Executive team.
In addition to providing administrative support, Adrienne and John will work alongside CEO Dr Damien Puddle with implementing Parkour Earth’s strategic plan, growing the organisation, and enacting key projects following the 2020 Global Engagement work.
Adrienne discovered parkour in 2013 and got involved early on in community-building initiatives in Washington, D.C. She is one of the co-founders and leaders of D.C. Area Women’s Parkour Meetups—a drive to increase women’s participation in the sport through monthly training sessions since 2013—and she served as an American Parkour (APK) Ambassador for five years.
She has extensive event management experience, including as the lead organizer of the 2019 North American Women’s Parkour Gathering and as the event manager for APK’s annual Beast Coast event in 2015. With a master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, Adrienne has focused much of her career on international human rights and humanitarian disaster response—primarily in the Middle East and East Africa. She believes in the power of parkour to change people’s lives and is passionate about using sport as a tool for development and peace.
John Hall or ‘Hedge’ discovered parkour in late 2004 by watching the documentary Jump London in school. After a short career in academia, he began teaching parkour full-time in 2013. He is the Managing Director of Access Parkour in Scotland, he chaired the 2019 European Art of Retreat and delivers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for Parkour UK.
His work focuses on bringing parkour to a broader demographic and he is specifically focused on bringing parkour into schools. Hedge likes gaming; partner acro; strong coffee and dark beer.
